Zulaen earned a BS in Psychology from Boise State University. She continued her education and received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Corban University, and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at University of the Cumberlands. Zulaen has worked with adolescents and adults in various mental health settings. She specializes in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, inner child work, attachment issues, and substance use. She is independently licensed in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP) and Idaho (LCPC).

Her therapeutic style is founded on the person-centered theory. It is accepting, supportive, and understanding. She utilizes various treatment practices and tools based on what is best for you (her client) and your specific needs. Zulaen builds on your strengths and appreciates open, honest discussion within the therapeutic relationship.

When she is not counseling, Zulaen is a “dog mom” to her Goldendoodle (Reba McEndoodle), listening to podcasts, lifting weights at the gym, or spending time with friends.
