Alex Sura, LMSW, graduated from Trevecca University with her Bachelors in Social Work and received her Masters of Science in Social Work with a focus in evidence-based interpersonal practice from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

Alex has spent the majority of her career working with individuals, couples, and families to increase quality of life and self-awareness. Alex has experience working in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs and is passionate about providing a safe space for you (her client) to be curious and honest about mindsets that no longer serve you. Alex approaches rapport building with humor, mutual respect for all regardless of gender identity and expressions, body size, and/or sexuality. Alex believes honesty and compassion set the stage for collaborative and goal-oriented therapy, drawing from experience and training in exposure ritual prevention therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and methodologies with influences of self-compassion, attachment, and mindfulness.
