Irish poet John O'Donohue writes of the human condition, “It is strange to be here. The mystery never leaves you alone. Behind your image, below your words, above your thoughts, the silence of another world waits. A world lives within you. No one else can bring you news of this inner world.”
The good stuff of life is found in this mystery. My role as a therapist is to accompany you as you explore your inner world and offer tools as you move into alignment with yourself. This process brings healing, contentment, freedom, and skills to surf life’s waves.
I value approaches based in mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and internal families systems (IFS). I work from a trauma-informed foundation while bringing authenticity and openness to each person. While I am a native English speaker, I’m also fluent in Spanish and happy to use whichever language is most comfortable for others.
I am an advanced practice intern pursuing my Master’s of Social Work at University of Tennessee Knoxville. Prior to my time at NCCC, I served acute patients in a psychiatric hospital after working for 10 years in student development and cross-cultural learning in Latin America and the United States. I like bicycles, senior dogs, and groovy music.
