Ricki is native Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with her bachelors degree in Psychology. She returned to the city of Memphis and attended the University of Memphis where she obtained a Master's in Social Work.

Over the years, she has worked with individuals ages ranging from 8 - 80 years old, using various therapeutic modalities based on individual needs. Currently, she provides therapeutic services through individual, couples, and family counseling, primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to a wide range demographic.

While a passionate social worker, Ricki is also the owner of Beyond A Birthing Experience, providing primarily BIPOC families with support through doula services and related products. She is the mother of an enthusiastic daughter, who always keeps her busy. She also enjoys the arts, crafting, and writing.
