Michael is a second-year graduate student at the University of Tennessee’s School of Social Work. After over a decade working in the corporate industry Michael took a planned career break in October of 2019. Following two years of a pandemic, he opted to return to school, get his master’s, and follow his true passion for helping others. Having had a therapist for the last 13 years, Michael is a strong believer in the power of therapy and understands the life-changing impact that a healthy therapeutic alliance can have for someone in need.
Michael operates from a strengths-based perspective and feels that we all have untapped resiliency within us — sometimes we need another person to help us to realize it. He also believes that working with you from a nonjudgmental viewpoint with the utmost positive regard is paramount to forming a good therapeutic relationship.
