After over a decade working in the corporate industry Michael took a planned career break to return to school, get his master’s, and follow his true passion for helping others. Having had a therapist for the last 13 years, Michael is a strong believer in the power of therapy and understands the life-changing impact that a healthy therapeutic alliance can have for someone in need.

I feel that the best way to resolve the interpersonal issues that may trouble and vex you is through the power of connection. I have personally seen the results of a strong therapeutic relationship in my own therapy journey and look forward to getting to know you as more than just a collection of problems and issues but as the truly unique and amazing person that you are.

Throughout my social work education and practicum experiences, I have found that working with fellow members of the LGBTQIA community has been some of the most fulfilling work I have done in my life. There is something special about the shared experiences and spirit that the LGBTQIA community has formed and getting to tap into that in a clinical space is exhilarating. I also enjoy working with couples on resolving disputes and improving communication, helping you to understand and mitigate depression and anxiety issues, and I always work from a trauma-informed viewpoint.

I operate from a strengths-based perspective and feel that we all have untapped resiliency within us — sometimes we just need another person to help us to realize it. If you are looking for a therapist that holds a poker face Kenny Rodgers or Lady Gaga would be jealous of I may not be the right fit. But, if you are looking for someone who can empathize with your pain, shed tears of grief and joy alongside you, and have plenty of shared laughs along the way I look forward to getting to know you and working with you.
