Makena Hatfield, LMSW, graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters of Science in Social Work and from Lee University with a B.A. in Psychology. She has spent the last few years working with pregnant and postpartum women, addiction, and trauma. Her specialty has been supporting clients while they navigate the mental load of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Makena provides a safe, nurturing, and empathetic environment with a relatable approach to meet you where you are, as well as works collaboratively towards healing and self-compassion.

Makena is passionate about holding space in challenging circumstances while also using therapy as a mode for personal, spiritual, and relational growth. Although Makena has been heavily involved in treating pregnancy and birth trauma, she has also provided advocacy work within the court system and DCS.
