Kelsey Fields, LPC-MHSP, MMT, MT-BC, is passionate about providing client-centered care to boost awareness, inspire creativity and foster connections. Kelsey earned her bachelor's in music therapy from the University of Evansville in 2017 and became a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) in January of 2018. Her Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Music Therapy from Appalachian State University were awarded in August 2021. She has experience working in residentials/ foster care treatment, inpatient medical and mental health settings, IOP/PHP programs, and outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma.
Being a counselor and music therapist, Kelsey is able to utilize a variety of skills to meet your needs. She is inspired by a wide variety of counseling theories such as person-centered, existential, CBT, analytic/ Jungian, and expressive arts techniques, which provide a variety of perspectives, therapeutic tools and skills, and opportunities for your growth. Kelsey seeks to form a strong clinical relationship with you to help you better understand your emotions and validate your lived experiences. She believes that evidenced-based practices and expressive techniques (such as music, imagery, art, poetry, and dream analysis) have the power to sculpt inner landscapes and to bring you into wholeness and healing.
