Duana E. Francis (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a passion for therapy and specializes in the treatment of kids, teens, and adults. Duana received her B.S. in Counseling Psychology in 2007 from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, then went on to Pace University in New York City to receive a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. Upon graduation, Duana worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including adult day programs, schools (K-12), medical offices, and community mental health facilities. Duana has also worked with the Davidson County Mobile Crisis Response Team as a Crisis and Triage Counselor for people who were in psychiatric crisis. Duana is formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule II (ADOS - II). When not in session, Duana enjoys cooking and baking for herself and her husband, Reginald, taking care of her two German Shepherds, Titan and Bulma, and making up silly songs for her niece Bailee.
