“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone” -Lisa Olivera

Alison Hedges is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelors in Social Work and a Masters in Social Work from The University of Tennessee College of Social Work, with a focus in evidence-based interpersonal practice.

Alison has experience working in community mental health, more specifically, working in psychiatric residential treatment facilities with adolescents and their families who have experienced trauma-related hardships. Alison works from a trauma-informed approach and has experience working with an array of mental health issues. Alison’s experience allowed her to learn about western medicine approaches while simultaneously utilizing holistic practices that look at the mind, body, and spirit as a whole. Alison uses evidence-based modalities such as motivational interviewing, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness and can provide care in the individual, group, or family setting.

She is passionate about offering a safe space that invites healing and connection while meeting you where you are. Her work is rooted in providing inclusive support, building and improving relationships, helping others find a healthy path to reach their goals, and discovering healing from within. Alison believes everyone should have the ability to express themselves without fear of judgement.
