The Power of Stillness
October 15 is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day,
I am 1 in 4.
I am beyond grateful to share with you our latest episode which features Lindsay Gibson. She shares her courageous journey through stillness and learning how to be with herself, her past trauma, and find her source of joy. Lindsay became numb and lived in denial after a traumatic experience at 16 years old. She shares how she lived in fear, in flight, and often experienced flashbacks, nightmares, and disassociated. When she became a mother for the first time, she poured herself into motherhood, continuing to live in the denial of the traumatic experience. After the stillbirth of her son, Joseph, grief overwhelmed her to the point where she could no longer deny being present with her emotions and allowing herself to fully feel her love, and her loss. Trauma sensitive yoga became a regular practice and supported her journey back to joy.
Lindsay is an Author, Motivational Speaker, Trauma/Fertility Yoga Instructor and Fertility/Birth Psychology Specialist; helping to bring light back into people that promotes inner healing. She is the creator of her "Joyful Conception" coaching/yoga series for mamas who are trying to conceive, specializing in 'rainbow' pregnancies. This class is done via phone or live for Connecticut residents. She spends most of her time taking care of her two “blondie” daughters and all that motherhood entails. She’s also a mother to her angel son above, whose love shines through her every day. Her greatest passion is writing to inspire through my heart and through Spirit. She is currently working on her first book, an inspirational memoir, "Just Be: How Her Stillborn Son Taught Me to Surrender." Due to release March 2018.
